About this Episode

Eugene Smith is from Pittsburgh, PA in an area called Lawrenceville. He got into construction straight out of high school and shortly after found roofing. In 2010, Eugene founded EAS Roofing, after the birth of his first child.

EAS Roofing is a locally operated, family-focused business that operates on strong core values of trust, communication, and integrity. From start to finish, homeowners have a great experience with the friendly and responsible crews. As a CertainTeed SELECT ShingleMaster, EAS Roofing’s expertise has been independently vetted and verified by one of the most respected manufacturers in the business.

Eugene is also a Master Shingle Applicator with CertainTeed Corp., one of the largest shingle manufacturers in the U.S. In 2016, Eugene was a part of the Advisory Council for CertainTeed, an honor that less than 50 people get to hold. Eugene is also a VSI Certified Installer, which is the highest credential a Siding installer can carry. Since EAS Roofing’s beginning, it was always most important to go above and beyond homeowners’ expectations.

On this episode, we talk about the importance of building relationships with homeowners, being open to advice, and treating your employees how you want to be treated.
